The event – also being published as a podcast of the same name – will be bringing together leading experts Dr Sheena Byrom OBE from All4Maternity and The Practising Midwife, Sue Macdonald, Co-editor of Mayes Midwifery and Jenny Clarke (Jenny the Midwife) to provide up to date information on working through COVID-19 and top tips on how midwives and allied healthcare professionals can protect their own physical and mental wellbeing during these exceptionally difficult times.
How to cope with the pressure?
Maintaining professional standards
Supporting yourself and colleagues
The weekend papers were full of stories about the impact of COVID-19 on maternity services around the UK. With a number of labour wards being closed to become COVID-19 treatment centres, some midwives with nurse training being re-assigned to general nursing duties and the toll of self isolation and illness, stress levels amongst midwives are undoubtedly higher than ever.
At times like these, it’s so important that healthcare professionals have access to the latest and most accurate flow of information to ensure best practice and to safeguard their own wellbeing.
This is your chance to hear the latest thinking and get your questions answered.
